Mustafa Baştürk

Mustafa Baştürk is an experienced English teacher who has worked in both public institutions and private sector schools. From 1987 to 2005, he served in various roles—teacher, translator, interpreter, and administrator—at military schools and institutions affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Hacettepe University, a Master’s degree in English Cultural Studies, and an additional Master’s in Educational Administration and Supervision from Yeditepe University.

After retiring in 2005, Baştürk became a partner at Akademi Artı Publishing Co. (Elma Publishing), where he has served as General Manager, Chief Editor, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for both Akademi Artı and MELA Co. Between 2008 and 2013, he worked in private schools as a teacher, International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, Assistant Principal, and School Principal.

In 2022, Baştürk earned a Doctorate in Educational Sciences following academic preparation and doctoral studies in education at Middle East Technical University (METU). He has also completed Advanced Teacher Education and certification in the United States, alongside International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) training and certification in the UK. Dedicated to all aspects of education, he researches educational issues and contributes to solutions, with a particular interest in educational policy.
