Eda was born in Kozlu in 1981. Once in high school, she wrote down her dreams in one of the survey notebooks that were passed from hand to hand: To study in Ankara, to get married, to become an academic, to return to Kozlu. In 2004, she graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of American Culture and Literature as the top student of her department. Immediately afterwards, she started teaching English at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. In her second year, she started working as an administrator until 2016. Today, the remnants of her contribution to the basic functioning of the school where she works can still be found. In 2008, she married the man she had prayed for in middle school to please marry her. She gave birth to a daughter like the sun. If you notice, life has always given Eda what she really wanted.

She continued her administrative career as the University coordinator of YÖK Farabi Exchange Program. While struggling with concepts such as audit, quality, sustainability, transparency, plans, strengths, she realized that it was time for a change in her future. When it was time to make proper requests from life again, she rolled up her sleeves for Project Eda because you can’t just ask for it.

First, she took CELTA training and finished it successfully. Her experience as an English teacher took her to completely different places, but she could not find the answers she wanted to her “why” and “how” questions. She started DELTA training. She successfully completed one module and failed another. She struggled with the feeling of failure. This was her real success. She continues to work for that diploma now because she set her mind to it.

Some time ago, Eda took part in a project on effective project writing (yes, you read that right) and took a lot of notes but could not produce a project. Her project dreams include her students, her colleagues, her local community and ultimately her country. Eda hopes to help with curriculum creation, material development and project writing. Now she joins GRIT Team to carry out the projects she has set her mind to.

With love,

Zuzu
