
Emine Demiröz

Emine is an experienced English instructor and academician with a strong background in foreign language education. After completing her BA in English Language Teaching at Trakya University, she completed her MA and PhD in education with a specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in the U.S.A. Emine has served as an instructor and administrator in different colleges and language training centres and has held various positions in both teaching and leadership capacities.
She presented at national and international conferences in her field. She published articles on meaningful use of technology in foreign languages, embodied learning, and developing speaking skills. She is currently the education coordinator and foreign relations coordinator of Trakya University UNESCO Chair of Digital Transformation and Quality in Education. She received a Research Grant from UMKC for 3 consecutive years and was awarded a special prize in the 3 Minute Thesis Competition. A member of international associations such as IATEFL and TESOL, Emine continues to develop her skills by taking trainings in different fields and adopting the importance of lifelong learning as her mission.
Outside the academy, Emine actively plays tennis, volleyball and does Stand Up Paddleboard in her social life. She is one of those who do not neglect to feed her soul as well as her body. She actively participates in social events and organizes social activities.
In the GRIT Team, she sees herself as a researcher, educational consultant, event coordinator and a team member who works effectively and efficiently with her teammates by providing administrative support when necessary.
