My story began in Istanbul in 1980 and then transformed into a narrative spread across different time periods and cities, much like a hard drive partitioned into large segments. Each segment holds countless wonderful memories and people. For quite some time now, this journey has continued in Zonguldak, where I am affiliated with Bülent Ecevit University.

Inspired by my beloved teacher, Nuray Savaşan, who taught my preparatory class at an Anatolian high school in Antalya, I decided to become an English teacher. To realize this dream, I completed my undergraduate studies at Anadolu University, leaving a part of my heart there. While doing so, I opted for a challenging path and pursued a double major in French Language Teaching. Following my undergraduate studies, my academic journey continued at Gazi University in Ankara, where I completed my master’s and am currently pursuing a doctorate in English Language Education.

My doctoral research focuses on technology-assisted writing skills training, and I aim to develop a training program that can be utilized by various institutions.

Projects offer the most current and exciting opportunities to encounter new cultures, explore new work disciplines, and leave a mark on the world we live in. I enthusiastically embraced and joined the GRIT team as it provides me with the chance to turn the idea of developing projects and being part of a development team into reality.

When I step away from school and professional life, I strongly prefer spaces without walls, such as nature. I love pursuing peaceful activities like inhaling the scent of the sea, escaping worldly stress by listening to the silence in the forest, cycling, and exploring underwater life. I have two daughters, and we have plans like visiting the world’s largest cave in China, watching lightnings in a safe place in wild and watching Beşiktaş matches live in the stadium, and shouting ‘Beşiktaş sen bizim herşeyimizsin’
